The winners of the U.S. Open men's and women's singles title will each receive a record $1.6 million. The U.S. Tennis Association announced Tuesday that's a nearly 6 percent increase from last year. The total prize money will be a record $21.6 million, the third consecutive year the purse has increased by $1 million.
